These sensory overloads for people with Sensory Processing Disorders can make going to the dentist extremely uncomfortable and sometimes unbearable. This class with teach everyone what Sensory Processing Disorders are and how they can modify their physical offices as well as the way they practice to be more inclusive for everyone who comes to their practice.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define Sensory Processing Disorders and review the various subtypes.
  2. Identify what it means to have an inclusive dental practice and where to start.
  3. Review how to treat patients with a simple and evidence based approach using prevention methods and products that are sensory friendly.
