Restorative Materals Update 2010
Restorative care demands continuous learning of material science and restorative techniques. Clinical error accounts for numerous failures. The numerous choices of restorative materials can confuse the practitioner as to what is best in a given situation. This lecture provides an overview of the restorative options available and a comprehensive discussion of dentinal adhesives. Dr. Brucia will discuss materials and techniques to provide quality direct and indirect dental restorations.
Course Objectives:
· Review options available in adhesive systems including new advancements in Glass Ionomers.
· Eliminate post - operative sensitivity and restorative failure.
· Discuss materials and techniques for Class I, II and V restorations.
· Techniques and materials for repairing porcelain fractures.
· Discuss predictable esthetic results with anterior implants.
· Techniques for the fabrication and delivery of indirect restorations.
