Understanding Temporomandibular Pathology and Coordinating a Team Approach to Treatment
This program will bring together the important components of the treatment team for patients suffering with TMD. The coordination of the integrated team for care is often overlooked and results in communication breakdown with incomplete patient care. Attendees of this program will gain insight into the varying roles each member of the coordinated care team will play, and thereby improve the effectiveness of treatment. The accompanying hands-on demonstration provides the hands-on training for both doctors and their staff with physical therapists to learn each other's roles and better understand how each must coordinate with the other. Improved communication and understanding will result in more predictable and effective treatment.
Course Objectives:
· Understand the different roles of the attending doctor and the physical therapist in diagnosing TMD.
