Periodontal Esthetic Therapy
As cosmetic requirements from discerning patients have increased, dentists have had an increase in elective esthetic procedures. This presentation will focus on surgical enhancement of the emergence profile of restorations on natural teeth and implants using various clinical cases advocating the establishment of an optimal framework of hard and soft tissues. Esthetically oriented procedures will be discussed including plastic and regenerative surgery associated with implant dentistry, orthodontics and esthetic restorative dentistry focusing on esthetic crown lengthening, root coverage, ridge augmentation and implants in the esthetic zone.
Course Objectives:
· Current possibilities for root coverage utilizing various soft tissue grafts.
· Crown lengthening in the esthetic zone.
· Rationale, advantages and limitations utilizing hard and soft tissue augmentation for tooth supported and implant borne restorations.
