The Art of Endodontics: Part 1 - Rationale for Treatment, Access and Negotiation Part 2 - Shaping, Cleaning and Obturation
Conventional endodontic treatment has changed dramatically in the last decade. This lecture will describe necessary concepts and techniques for allowing endodontic treatment to become both enjoyable and profitable. Critical technique fundamentals and advances in instrument materials and techniques will be discussed to improve the clinician's performance.
Course Objectives:
· Conservative and efficient straight line access.
· Using apex locators to accurately determine length.
· Safe and efficient use of nickel - titanium files.
· Negotiating techniques to consistently reach the canal terminus.
· Importance of lubricants, irrigants and chelating agents.
· 3-D Center Compaction Obturation techniques.
