Children Deserve the Best
This course will explore the additional skills needed to provide dental care to the pediatric patient. It will improve the confidence of the staff and improve their rapport with the parent.
Course Objectives:
· At what age should a child have their first dental exam?
· How to respond to parents' questions about the first dental visit?
· Scheduling: Which times are better for which ages?
· How to take bitewing x - rays on a 3 - 4 year old?
· How to take an impression and prevent the child from throwing up?
· How does the parent stop nighttime bottle feeding?
· How can you get rid of the pacifier?
· Why do pediatric dentists do so many stainless steel crowns?
