Risk Management I and II
Risk management is more than simply preventing lawsuits – it’s about adhering to sound clinical and operational practices in pursuit of excellence in patient care. In addition to communication and documentation, we’ll review informed consent and other medicolegal issues, along with case examples and timely topics in dentistry. This seminar seeks to improve the understanding of litigation as it applies to the clinical issues commonly seen in dental claims as well as to highlight the risk management techniques that are used to lessen the risk of claims. All are welcome to attend.
At the conclusion of the seminar, attendees will be able to:
· Recognize how good patient rapport enhances clinical care.
· Recognize that accurate dental records support good clinical care.
· Understand how risk management affects claims and their defensibility.
· Implement risk management techniques leaned to reduce their exposure and provide improved patient care.
