Dr. Peter L. Jacobsen

Drugs, Bugs and Dentistry: What to Prescribe!

Morning Session:  Prescription Drugs

Prophylactic antibiotics for heart problems, prosthetic joints, but what about body augmentation implants? New systemic and topical anti-viral drugs are available. Can they be used to prophylactically prevent herpes attacks? Is metronidazole the next drug of choice, if amoxicillin doesn't work for a periapical infection? Can aphthous ulcers be effectively controlled with the new over-the-counter dental products? All these answers and more in a rapid fire, informative presentation.
