Dr. Peter Jacobsen lectures extensively on Dental Pharmacology as well as Over-the-Counter Dental Drugs and Products. He also presents on the topic of the Dental Management of Medically Complex Patients.  His information is practical and clinically relevant for dentists as well as dental hygienists.  Dr. Jacobsen has a national reputation for being very entertaining, making his presentations lively and enjoyable.

Dr. Jacobsen’s Ph.D. is in Comparative Pharmacology and Toxicology and he directed the Oral Medicine Clinic at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco  for 25 yearsl.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine and the current Vice-Chairman of the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs.  Eight years in a row he has been named as one of the,”Leaders in Continuing Education” by Dentistry Today magazine. He also received the 1999 Gordon J. Christensen Lecturer Recognition Award. He writes the little Dental Drug Booklet, a succinct handout and reference on commonly prescribed dental medications.
