Comprehensive Esthetic Dentistry From Risk Assessment to Recipe for Success
This course will benefit dentists and dental technicians (the course is not recommended for dental auxiliaries) who are interested in gaining useful knowledge related to contemporary clinical techniques and treatment approaches in esthetic dentistry and fixed prosthodontics. It will be very useful for those who feel lost by constant bombardment of new materials and all ceramic systems as it will provide a logical approach to understanding the nature of those materials. Most important, those who seek successful communication skills to treatment plan, maintain, and manage complications, will be provided with a wide spectrum of clinical scenarios.
Lecture Topics to be Covered
· Properly understand the fundamentals of risk assessment and proper management of a wide spectrum of patients ranging from the esthetically demanding to the conservatively oriented.
· Learn how to create a patient driven approach for treatment planning
· Learn the current status of all-ceramic restorations--classification and indications for all-ceramic systems, from porcelain veneer to single unit crowns to a full-mouth rehabilitation
· The rationale for the selection of cements, bonding agents, and impression materials for esthetic applications including materials classification and indication for use
· Prevention, proper sequence of treatment, management of complications, and maintenance of the rehabilitated patient
Educational Objectives:
At the end of the course the participants will be able to:
- Formulate, present, and discuss detailed custom-tailored treatment plans for a wide spectrum of patients
- Employ preventive and maintenance measurement to ensure long term success
- Select the appropriate all ceramic systems in a variety of clinical applications
- Select the proper cements or adhesives required to deliver the various all ceramic restorations
- Make final impressions that meticulously and accurately reproduce all the details of prepared natural and artificial abutments
